What are Open Networkers?
OpenNetworkers.info is a Social Network for networkers, recruiters and job-seekers who like to share their Personal Brand in a transparent, 'Open' way on the internet. This has nothing to do with enlarging your social network status by adding people you don't know to your profile (e.g. 'connections' on Linkedin or 'followers' on Twitter). Instead we focus on quality matches, not only matching key-words for experiences in CV's, but also matching personality, competences & above all: networking & communication styles.

OpenNetworkers.info is all about Being You. Self consciousness by being 'open' and using that knowledge to find, select, and interpret networking styles of our online networking (business) partners or new employer / employee effectively, creating Value and Effectiveness in Online Strategies. The Open Networkers help others to realize this principle and support them in their move quality oriented networking.

The Open Networkers Initiative is 'open' and 'free' for everyone to join and to use. This Central Portal, which houses about one tenth of all our members, is integrated within the Ning OpenSource community which means that by joining the OpenNetworkers.info Central Portal you will agree to act according to the Ning Terms of Service and Privacy policy.

The Global Initiative, how it began
Open Networkers are a special breed, we are idealists who share a common strive towards using online networks to reach out to people across borders and the internet who share our personal goals and personality. Thus we don't not just connect, we go beyond connecting towards personal and professional interaction.

We are growing fast, currently the ON community is represented on more than 50 online networks and hundreds of portals, blogs and webpages. We started beginning 2007. In one year time over 25.000 (1-2008) new members added themselves to the Open Networkers, joining the ON ideals.

Syndication tools & widgets
Open Networkers help each other in creating international networks and career opportunities. OpenNetworkers.info offers all the tools to do that and to discover our networking styles. We believe that knowing your networking style is the starting point of self-consciousness on which we can choose the right networking partners, discover new passions and new careers. It will enable a change from 'following' your career to Leading your career.
Just publish here and become visible on more than 50 portals, social networks, hundreds of blogs and thousands of sub-groups, all with the same message. So be careful what you publish, no spamming allowed. Be professional amongst professionals. Value your networking activities and thus value yourself and all Open Networkers.

By accepting membership of the ON you will also agree to a 'no-spam and no MLM / MLN' policy. We want to keep our network free from untargeted commercial messaging.

We follow the 5 Laws of Open Networking:

1. We try to help everyone with their networking request.
2. ‘Open networking’ doesn’t mean ‘spamming’. We check true networking motives and objectives so that we can help in building a quality network.
3. Naturally we don’t spam ourselves. We only send out targeted information to targeted people only.
4. We remove obvious spammers (people sending out product related, non targeted, non personal information) directly from our networks.
5. We add to general best-practices for free. However we can charge fees for helping with targeted networking for our role as an active (quality) Referrer.

NB: If someone is not living up to the Code and is spamming you on any of the ON resources, please inform the management of the Open Networkers immediately (underneath each page), we'll ban the spammer instantly.
